This case involves an unsuccessful land speculation venture resulting from a planned syndication of a large tract of land. The purchase of the large tract of land was by individual purchases of smaller tracts whereby the Federal Land Bank of Columbia would lend a maximum of $150,000 (apparently its Gainesville office loan limit) to various individuals on the separate tracts.
