This appeal is taken by the defendant, Francis Barry, from a judgment in the amount of $53,000 plus interest from May 1, 1975, at the rate of 8% per annum, being $13,768 and costs in the amount of $55.80, totaling $66,823,80, entered against him and in favor of the plaintiff, Filrep, S.A., a Swiss corporation, by the Circuit Court of Mercer County.
