This is a suit for damages for personal injuries. The plaintiff, Oddo Huval, was driving in the outside south bound lane of the Evangeline Thruway in the city of Lafayette. This thruway has three lanes for south bound traffic. The defendant Sinitiere was driving in the middle lane.
