This is a case involving a collision between an automobile attempting to make a left turn and its following vehicle.

Royce O. Cornelius, appellant, was driving an automobile rented from the Hertz Corporation, also an appellant herein, in an easterly direction on U.S. Highway 61 near LaPlace at the time the accident occurred.
