This case involves the question of whether a defendant's right to a speedy trial under a former version of CrR 3.31 was violated. Petitioner Johnson sought review of a decision of Division One of the Court of Appeals which affirmed his conviction of first-degree robbery in an unpublished opinion and held that Johnson's right to a speedy trial under CrR 3.3 had not been violated.
