This case involves the construction of § 3131 of Michigan's no-fault insurance act, MCL 500.3101 et seq.; MSA 24.13101 et seq., as that section was worded prior to its amendment October 17, 1978.1 Defendant insurer contends that under said section the amount of residual liability coverage is limited to $20,000 — that being the amount of coverage provided in the insurance policy.
