This is a suit to recover workmen's compensation benefits. Defendant, Odell Lamartiniere, a grocer for thirty-two years, undertook the construction of a new grocery store and engaged plaintiff, Bennie Slocum, a carpenter, to perform all of the necessary carpentry work.
