Defendant was jury convicted of first-degree murder. MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548. The trial judge sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The case against defendant was circumstantial. The evidence against him tended to show that he was in possession of several items of personal property taken from the decedent's home (site of the murder), that his fingerprints had been found in the decedent's home, and that he had committed a subsequent and separate...
