The appellant, the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company (the Railroad), takes this appeal from an adverse final judgment awarding, inter alia, the four minor children of the decedent, White, who perished in a grade crossing accident with one of the Railroad's trains, damages totaling $280,000.
