MARCUS, Justice.

James E. Davis was charged by bill of information with receiving stolen things (La. R.S. 14:69) in that he did "intentionally procure and receive a Zeiss level. . . ."1 After trial by jury, he was found guilty as charged and sentenced to serve one year in jail plus payment of all costs. On appeal, defendant relies on eight assignments of error for reversal of his conviction and sentence.
