The defendant was indicted and convicted for rape. Sentence was fixed at life imprisonment. Two issues are presented on appeal.

Initially the defendant contends that a statement he made to law enforcement officers prior to his arrest was inadmissible because he was a suspect, was in custody and had not been given his rights under Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436, 86 S.Ct. 1602, 16 L.Ed.2d 694...
