This is an appeal from a suit in which the appellee, Dolores H. Magana, sued the appellant, Jose G. Magana, Jr., to adjudge custody and child support for their child whose custody was not established by their prior divorce decree. Appellant answered, but neither he nor his attorney appeared for trial on June 8, 1978. After hearing evidence, the trial court entered an order on June 9, 1978, placing managing conservatorship in the appellee...
