The defendant, Ronald Eugene Johnson, was sentenced to concurrent terms of 2 to 6 years' imprisonment after a Coles County jury found him guilty of aggravated battery and robbery, violations of sections 12-4 and 18-1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, pars. 12-4, 18-1). The jury also found the defendant not guilty of an attempt murder charge, a violation...
