Defendant Felix Stroud Hammontree was charged by bill of information with negligent homicide, in violation of R.S. 14:32. He was tried before a six person jury which found him guilty of negligent homicide. Subsequently, the court sentenced him to serve five years in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
