Defendant Fred H. Leemans was charged by bill of information with willfully and unlawfully keeping a disorderly place "by maintaining 310 St. Charles Avenue as a place to be used habitually for an illegal purpose, to-wit: Prostitution" in violation of La. R.S. 14:104. The offense was alleged to have been committed on June 29, 1973. On July 17, 1974, the defendant was tried before the judge alone and was found guilty as charged.
