The instant suit arises as a result of a marine collision which occurred at approximately 1:30 a. m. on May 13, 1975 in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway within Cameron Parish, Louisiana. On the date and time aforesaid the M/V JAKA L, owned and captained by plaintiff, was pushing ahead in a westerly direction one loaded barge in the vicinity of Ellender Bridge, Mile 244 West of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
