In this litigation plaintiff, Flowers, Inc., succeeded in the district court and Court of Appeal in having tax assessments, filed in the mortgage records of St. Tammany Parish, ordered cancelled and erased insofar as they affected certain immovable property which plaintiff had purchased from the state's tax debtor, Tan Ho Land and Cattle Company, Inc.
