Douglas B. Boyd was indicted, along with two other persons, for the armed robbery of William Schultz, a cab driver, in violation of R.S. 14:64. Defendant was separately indicted for the murder of the cab driver who was killed during the course of the armed robbery; however, he was only tried on the robbery charge.
