OPINION

ROBERTS, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction, enhanced by one prior felony conviction, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.1 After a jury found the appellant guilty, the appellant pleaded true to the enhancement paragraph and the trial judge assessed the appellant's punishment at eighteen years' confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections.
