By this appeal, the appellant challenges the validity of certain procedures relating to criminal jury trials in Virginia. The procedure challenged follows the mandate of the Constitution and the statutes of that State. The Virginia Constitution, in common with the Constitution of all States generally, guarantees every person accused of crime in its courts a right to a jury trial.
