Defendant was charged in a six-count indictment with commission of the crimes of robbery in the first degree; rape, first degree; sodomy, first degree; two counts of burglary in the first degree and attempted murder in the second degree. He was allowed to plead guilty to the first count of the indictment, a class B felony, in satisfaction of the entire indictment. Defendant was sentenced to a term of imprisonment having a maximum of 15 years which was well within the 25-year...
