This is an action in trespass for medical malpractice brought by the mother and natural guardian of Edwin J. Gradel, Jr., a minor, on his behalf, and by his father and mother in their own right. A jury returned verdicts of $700,000 for the guardian of the minor boy and $25,000 for the parents. After a hearing on post-trial motions, the trial court refused to grant a new trial or to reduce the $700,000 verdict. However, it conditioned the denial...
