Plaintiff, Wilson Smith, brought this suit against his employer, Cameron Crews, Inc., Cameron Boat Rentals, Inc., Mobil Oil Corporation, and Insurance Company of North America (Cameron Crews' insurer), under the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C.A. Sec. 688 and the general maritime law. During the course of the trial the suit was dismissed insofar as defendants Mobil Oil Corporation and Cameron Boat Rentals, Inc., were concerned.
