BOWEN, Judge.
The appellant was convicted for the illegal possession of marijuana contrary to the provisions of the Alabama Uniform Controlled Substances Act. He was sentenced to a two year term in the penitentiary and fined five hundred dollars. He was represented by privately retained counsel in the trial court.
