The indictment returned by the grand jury of Montgomery County charged Reginald Reese Robinson, alias Maliki Shabazz, with the first degree murder of Manfred E. Furr, by "shooting him with a sawed off shotgun". The jury found the appellant guilty as charged and fixed punishment at life imprisonment.
