The plaintiffs instituted this action to recover the value of certain hogs allegedly killed by trains owned and operated by the defendant, Missouri Pacific Railroad Company (hereinafter referred to as Missouri). This suit is brought pursuant to the provisions of LSA-R.S. 45:504. Also named defendants are D. H. Maddox and T. R.
