On November 1, 1974, Mark F. McChesney, an attorney at law of Akron, Ohio, filed a complaint against Firedoor Corporation of America and its comptroller in charge of collections, S. Pease, alleging that the defendants had "falsely libelously and with intent to defame, lodged a complaint accusing plaintiff (Mark F. McChesney) of unethical conduct," with the Akron Bar Association, whereby he had suffered great damage.
