At approximately eleven o'clock on the morning of August 9, 1974 two black men, armed with a pistol and rifle, entered Morales Grocery Store at Brusly, Louisiana. They forced all of the customers in the establishment at gunpoint to lie face down on the floor and then proceeded to rob the cashier by removing a quantity of money from the cash register.
