On October 14, 1971, at approximately 6:45 A.M. on U.S. Highway 11 near Slidell, Louisiana, an automobile driven by Ruth Heckel, plaintiff-appellee/appellant, collided with a pick-up truck owned and driven by Jerry Dennis, defendant-appellee.
