Sonny Davenport and Glenn Edward Richardson were indicted for first degree murder committed while engaged in an armed robbery on September 6, 1973. On December 6, 1974 a jury found Richardson guilty as charged, and convicted Davenport of second degree murder. Richardson was sentenced to death; Davenport was sentenced to life imprisonment.
