Defendant's contention that the Superior Court did not have jurisdiction of the "driving under the influence" charge is based on the argument that the Superior Court could acquire jurisdiction of the misdemeanor only by appeal from a District Court which retained its exclusive, original jurisdiction with the nolle prosequi.
