This is an appeal from a conviction and sentence for aggravated murder. The defendant was indicted for the August 16, 1975, shooting death of John Allen, a Columbus resident, along the east bank of the Scioto River in southern Delaware County.

The prosecution's case included the testimony of Patricia Epley, an eye witness to the shooting and the key prosecution witness. She had lived with the defendant
