Defendant, Sylvester Johnson, was charged by indictments with an aggravated battery against Melvin Smith and an aggravated battery and attempt (murder) against Randolph Tucker. He was tried by jury and found not guilty of the attempt (murder) and guilty of both aggravated batteries. He was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of one to three years.
