Defendant, Rayfield Jackson, Jr., was indicted by the grand jury of Evangeline Parish for the murder of Joseph Isom Ardoin. He was tried by jury, found guilty and later sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor. Defendant reserved a number of bills of exceptions during the course of the trial; however, in brief to this court, he specifically abandons all bills except Bills of Exceptions Nos. 2, 3 and 5.
