At about 10:45 p. m. on June 25, 1974, defendant, the appellant herein, was apprehended while crouched inside a cabinet in a gasoline station that had closed for the day. A deputy on routine patrol observed a female next to an automobile parked at the station. The deputy investigated and, receiving evasive answers about her and a friend nearby, he checked the building. Discovering a forcible entry, he radioed for assistance.
