In this products liability case, Antonio Vega sued H. E. B. Food Stores and Royal Crown Bottling Company on behalf of his twenty-three month old son, Javier. While in the care of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mariano Cruz, and while handling by himself a sixteen ounce bottle of Royal Crown Cola, the child suffered injuries when the bottle allegedly exploded.
