Appellant Paul Cummins brought this action under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., alleging that he had been illegally discharged on the basis of his religion. In essence the complaint charged that Appellant's employer, Parker Seal Company, did not perform its duty under the Act to accommodate Appellant's religious practices and observances.
