Count 1 of this indictment in the District Court for the Southern District of New York charged the four appellants1 with conspiring, 18 U.S.C. § 371, to violate the statutes relating to mail fraud, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341-1343, and interstate or foreign transportation of stolen money, 18 U.S.C. § 2314.
