Plaintiffs, Thomas Griffin Haynes and his wife, Mary Gordon Haynes, instituted this medical malpractice suit against defendants, Dr. Alvin Stander, the partnership of which he is a partner, the Bone & Joint Clinic, their insurer, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, Baton Rouge General Hospital, the hospital where Mrs. Haynes underwent surgery, and the hospital's insurer, Argonaut-Southwest Insurance Company.
