Defendant, in a jury trial held in the circuit court of Cook County, was convicted of unlawful possession of narcotics. The appellate court affirmed the conviction and remanded to determine the proper sentence. (People v. Sturgis, 14 Ill.App.3d 181.) We granted leave to appeal. The sole issue before us is whether reversible error...
