Plaintiff, Dr. Arthur Axelrod, was awarded $1,000 as the replacement value for a set of draperies ruined while undergoing a dry-cleaning process at Wardrobe Cleaners, Inc. Defendant has appealed this judgment asserting that an inferior fabric dye and not the cleaning process caused the damage. Alternatively it sought a reduction in quantum.
