The defendant was found guilty of rape by a jury in the Circuit Court of Pike County and was sentenced to eight years in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections. On appeal, defendant does not complain of the sufficiency of the evidence to support the conviction. We will, therefore, not relate any of the details of the savage assault that accompanied the commission of the crime of rape and resulted in numerous cuts on the body of the victim...
