This is an appeal from a judgment entered May 31, 1973, convicting the defendant of impeding a federal officer in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 111. The jury began its deliberations at approximately 6:20 p. m. and two hours later, after informing the court that it was unable to agree, recessed for the evening.
