This tort action arises out of an accident which occurred on December 26, 1971, in Crowley, Louisiana, when plaintiff, Mrs. Olive Bourque Gauthier, an elderly widow, fell as she was traversing a broken, fragmented section of the sidewalk. Made defendants were the City of Crowley; the abutting landowner, B. J. Cart, Jr., and his liability insurer, Allstate Insurance Company; and Reggie Concrete, Inc., and its insurer, Aetna Casualty and Surety Company...
