Defendant appeals from a conviction of uttering a forged instrument. The relevant facts are essentially undisputed. On February 17, 1971, defendant presented a check, ostensibly drawn by the M. Clune Company, to a clerk at a liquor store located in Indianapolis, intending the same to be cashed.
