Condemnation proceedings were brought by the State Highway Commission against defendant's land pursuant to the authority granted by 1966 PA 295, as amended by 1967 PA 206; MCLA 213.361 et seq; MSA 8.261(1) et seq. The commission appraised the property at $21,000 while defendant claimed $50,000 as compensation. A trial was had on the question of just compensation on May 11, 1970, and a jury verdict was returned in the amount of $24,000 and...
