This is a suit by Mrs. Nellie Quiroz, wife of and Farley E. Rhodes, to recover damages for injuries to her hair and scalp allegedly caused by the use of Max Factor Straight Set, a hair straightener product. The undisputed facts are that Mrs. Rhodes purchased the hair kit, applied the ingredients to a portion of her hair (a strand test) on the same day, and then performed an entire head application the following evening.
