Plaintiffs and defendants are neighbors owning adjoining lake lots on Wolf Lake in Muskegon County, Michigan. The plaintiffs purchased their lot in 1966, defendants in 1962.

Through the course of events over the years prior to and including the aforementioned dates, the level of Wolf Lake has been dropping, leaving lands uncovered by reliction in front of the lots owned by the parties. The defendants...
