The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v. Jessie J. Jones, Appellant

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Second Department.

April 5, 1971


Judgment modified, in the exercise of discretion, by reducing the sentence to an indeterminate term of 5 years to 10 years for manslaughter in the first degree and an additional indeterminate term of 5 to 6 years under section 1944 of the former Penal Law. As so modified, judgment affirmed.

In our opinion the judgment was excessive to the extent indicated...
