Harold Freedman, charged with having violated 18 U.S.C. § 1621, appeals his conviction by a jury for four instances of perjury1 committed while he was testifying before the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with an investigation into possible violations of the federal securities laws by three corporations, General Development Corp., Universal Controls Co., and Seven Arts Ltd.,
